We turn solid wood into chairs in a master's hands
In our workshop in Siteler, Ankara, we make chairs, armchairs, bar chairs, stools and rocking chairs. Every stage, from cutting to finishing, is completed under one roof.
Our story
We make the chair from start to finish in our own workshop
Our workshop is on Karpuzlu 2 Caddesi and our store is on Demirhendek Caddesi, both in the Önder neighbourhood of Siteler, in the Altındağ district of Ankara. We make everything from armchairs and bar chairs to stools and rocking chairs, and every frame is solid wood. Our sister company Koçak Garden makes garden furniture; both brands have the same owner. All the chair and stool work is ours.
Work moves from bench to bench. Timber is cut to size, parts are sanded before they are joined, the surface is levelled once more after the frame is up, and finishing comes last. A master decides when a piece is done and when the frame moves on. Every bench is under one roof, so no stage is sent out.
Made to order means the work starts with your choices. Once the model is settled we talk through the upholstery fabric, the colour and the finish. Send us your own fabric and we will upholster the chair in it. We can also deliver the frame raw, without finish, for anyone who would rather paint and upholster it themselves.
Koçak Garden, which shares the same production address as Koçak Sandalye, works in outdoor furniture.

Our values
The principles that make us who we are
The model, the fabric and the colour change from one order to the next. These four do not.
Solid Wood
Frames are built from solid wood; we use no veneer and no particle board. The finish changes the colour and the grain, but the material underneath is the same in every model.
Handwork
Most of the sanding, assembly and finishing ends in a master's hands. Machines step in only where they make that work easier; the chair is still finished by hand.
Made to Order
The bench starts once you have chosen. The model, the upholstery fabric, the colour and the tone of the finish are your decision; the same model can look entirely different in two orders.
Checked Before Dispatch
Every chair is looked over one by one before packing. Joints, the evenness of the surface and the tension of the upholstery are each checked separately.
