Felmivo's back is a broad rectangular frame with softened corners, filled with woven cane. The frame reclines markedly, and together with the ventilation of the cane it gives a cool back over a long meal.
The back does not begin just above the seat. On one side it is carried by the rear leg running on in one piece and on the other by a slim post; the gap between lightens the frame in profile.
The legs are round in section and tapered, with no stretchers between them; the seat rails alone lock the frame. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version with a petrol blue fabric upholstered seat.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a natural woven cane back panel stretched into a reclined rectangular frame and round tapered legs. In the upholstered version the seat is padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe the wood with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Clean the cane back with a dry brush or a vacuum brush on low power, and never wet it. Treat stains on the fabric seat promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth.
