Lida's back panel is one piece, broad and curved; its top edge draws a shallow arc and both ends curl forward to wrap the back. The panel is not let in between the rear posts but lapped across their tops: that is where the T in the model's name comes from.
A short rail ties the two posts below the panel, and the gap between them is left open. The rest of the frame is upright; the square section legs taper slightly towards the floor, and a low rail between the rear legs together with a triangular corner block under the seat locks the structure.
The seat is cut in a soft form that widens towards the front and sits on top of the frame. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version with a plum fabric upholstered seat.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with square section legs and a broad curved back panel lapped across the tops of the rear posts. In the upholstered version the seat is padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
