Briza's structure is built from thick legs that cross in a V when seen from the side. The front leg reaches back, the rear leg reaches forward, and they lock together at the crossing with the seat rail. The rail and its wedge are left visible rather than hidden.
The back is pressed from a single sheet of moulded plywood and curves slightly inward at shoulder height to wrap the body. Flat wooden arms seat on either side of the shell, kept low enough not to block the table.
It suits a dining table, a desk and a meeting room. The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in blue fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech legs and arms with a moulded plywood back shell. In the upholstered version the back and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
