Moren Chair

The Moren shell starts behind you, wraps forward on both sides and ends at arm height. Because the tall back supports the shoulders too, the model is noticeably more comfortable over a long sitting than an ordinary dining chair.

The shell is fitted over a solid frame, the joints are made from the inside and no screw shows from outside. The upholstery sits inside the shell: the outer wooden face stays visible while the inner face is covered in fabric. That pair of surfaces is what gives the model its character.

It works at the head of a dining table, in a study and in a hotel lobby. The photographs show the bare shell alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in dusty rose fabric.
