Kariel raises Rosabelle's oval medallion back to bar height. The frame is slim in profile, upholstered inside, with the line of the wood left visible around it, so it speaks the same language as the chairs on the bar side of a classic room.
The front legs are fluted and turned while the rear legs splay outward. Round roundels sit at the corners of the seat frame where the legs begin; in a classic set that rosette is the detail which hides the junction of leg and frame.
The footrest is not a closed ring: a flat band bowed outwards starts on the left side, wraps the back and turns forward on the right, while a separate moulded rail crosses the front at the same height. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in brown fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with an oval medallion back, fluted turned front legs, round roundels at the corners and a footrest made of a curved band round three faces with a separate front rail. The back and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
