Every part of Lunaria is straight timber of rectangular section. The arm runs parallel to the floor, the leg rises vertically, and the two cross at a right angle to draw a T in profile; that is where the model's name comes from.
The arm does not stop at the front leg but runs a few centimetres past it. At the back a curved band wraps the frame and the back shell sits inside it. Among all that straight timber, this single curve is the one place the chair softens.
The seat is cut in a soft form that widens towards the front. The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the back and seat upholstered in cinnamon fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with straight rectangular section arms and legs, a curved rear band with a back shell and a wooden seat. In the upholstered version the back and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
