Mila's back begins behind you, wraps forward on both sides and ends at arm height. The vertical slats between carry the back, while the curved top rail becomes the surface the arm rests on.
The legs are square in section and tapered, tied by footrests on all four sides. The seat is carved into a saddle. Bar chairs that support both back and arm are uncommon; Mila fills that gap.
The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version with a grey fabric upholstered seat.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a slatted wrapping back, a carved solid saddle seat and footrests on all four sides. In the upholstered version the seat is padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
