Nivalia C Back Bar Armchair

Nivalia's top rail wraps the back from behind, turns to both sides and drops forward to become the arm; seen from the side that line draws an open C, which is where the model's name comes from.

A channel is cut along the inner face of the rail. In the upholstered version a fabric covered strip runs in that channel, while in the bare state the channel is left open and the section of the wood shows.

The legs are square in section and splayed. There is no separate footrest ring: a stretcher runs along each side, a lower rail crosses the front, and angled braces step between the two levels, all in the same square stock. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in cinnamon fabric.
