Norlivo's back is an oval medallion with a slim profile, filled with woven cane. Cane gives lightness to a classic medallion that turns heavy when closed with fabric: the back breathes and light passes through it from behind.
The front legs are in the fluted turned Louis form. Round roundels sit at the corners of the seat frame where the legs begin, and the front edge of the frame is moulded along its whole length.
It shares its frame with Veralyn and parts from it in how the back is filled. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version with a burgundy fabric upholstered seat.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a natural woven cane back panel stretched into an oval medallion frame, fluted turned Louis front legs, round roundels at the corners and a moulded seat frame. In the upholstered version the seat is padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe the wood with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Clean the cane back with a dry brush or a vacuum brush on low power, and never wet it. Treat stains on the fabric seat promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth.
