Veralyn's back is an oval medallion with a slim profile, upholstered throughout. A moulding runs the whole way round the outer face of the frame and there is no carving; proportion rather than ornament carries the classic line.
The front legs are in the fluted turned Louis form and meet round roundels at the corners of the seat frame. The front edge of the frame is moulded along a serpentine line.
It shares its frame with Norlivo; the difference is that the medallion is filled with fabric instead of cane. The two can be used side by side at the same table. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in tan fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a moulded oval medallion back, fluted turned Louis front legs, round roundels at the corners and a serpentine moulded seat frame. The back and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
