Olenna's back shell is not symmetrical: on one side it rises and wraps forward, on the other it drops away and ends. That asymmetry gives the chair a silhouette that changes with the side you look from.
Shell and seat are curved panels; both are screwed to the frame with the screw heads left in view. In the bare state that junction is on show, and in the upholstered version it sits under the fabric.
The legs are round in section, tapered and splayed, with no stretchers between them. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the back shell and seat upholstered in grey fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a curved back shell wrapping forward on one side, a curved seat panel and round tapered legs. In the upholstered version the back shell and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
