Ravenna Low Chair

Ravenna's back is a broad, flattened shell sitting on a single post that rises from the middle. The shell meets the shoulders across their full width and the space beneath it stays open; the arrangement supports the back while keeping the chair light from behind.

The seat is low and tilts slightly forward. It is not at dining table height: it was drawn for places where people sit and stay, such as a window corner, a reading nook or a hotel lobby.

The legs are round in section and splayed. Low rails run on three faces: a broad, flat rail across the front whose lower edge is cut in a wave, and one slim rail on each side; the back face is left open. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the back and seat upholstered in sage green fabric.
