Pera's character comes from the turning. The four spindles in the back are drawn in a bobbin form, and the legs and the stretchers between them are worked in the same language. That density of turning sets the model apart from the other bar chairs in the catalogue.
The seat is cut as a full circle with rounded edges. The crest rail is broad and softly shaped, forming the surface the lower back rests against. The turned stretchers between the legs both lock the frame and give the feet somewhere to rest.
It suits cafés, taverns and kitchen islands. The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the crest and seat upholstered in beige fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with bobbin turned spindles and stretchers and a round solid seat. In the upholstered version the crest and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
