Seen from the side, Perlina's legs draw a V that opens like a pair of compasses. The two arms part at the floor, meet at seat level and carry the armrest above; the whole load passes through that single junction.
The arms are thick, flat and rectangular in section. They do not stop at the front leg but run a few centimetres past it and finish in a sharp point. That overhang sets the model's profile.
The back frame is set at a recline and fits between the two posts; it is empty in the bare state and closed with a panel in the upholstered version. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in taupe fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech compass legs in a V, flat rectangular section arms and a reclined back frame. In the upholstered version the back panel and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
