Rima's back is a rectangular ring with a thick profile and corners rounded well over. The inside of the ring can be left open or closed with an upholstered panel; either way the chair does not block the table when seen from behind.
There is no sharp corner anywhere on the frame. The legs are round in section and tapered, softened by a curved transition where they meet the seat rails. It shares Nisa's arrangement and parts from it with a thicker, rounder profile.
There are no stretchers between the legs; the seat rails lock the frame. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the back panel and seat upholstered in petrol blue fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame and round tapered legs with a thick profiled rectangular back ring. In the upholstered version the back panel and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
