Talindra's crest rises at the centre, drops to both sides in an arch and lands on the front legs. The void left under the arch is where the arm passes; there is no separate arm piece.
The back pad is small and cut in a dome. It sits at the middle of the crest with the wood left exposed on both sides: instead of the full back panel of a classic chair, only the area that touches the sitter is upholstered.
The front apron of the seat frame is cut in a scallop. The legs are round in section and tapered, with no stretchers between them. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version upholstered in taupe fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with a crest that arches down into the arms, a domed back pad, a scalloped seat apron and round tapered legs. In the upholstered version the back pad and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
