Zenovia's arm rises out of the seat frame, runs up and back and joins the back frame; seen from the side that line draws a Z. The front end of the arm tapers to a point, while the rear end seats into the frame.
The back frame sits between the arms and is fixed with one bolt on each side, with the bolt heads left in view. The inside of the frame is empty in the bare state and closed with a panel in the upholstered version.
The legs are round in section and tapered, with no stretchers between them. The photographs show the bare frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the back panel and seat upholstered in moss green fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame with arms rising in a Z, a rectangular back frame bolted on each side and round tapered legs. In the upholstered version the back panel and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
