Zilar is Asera's 45 cm sibling. The same square seat and tapered leg language, set this time at chair height. It works as an extra seat around a dining table, in front of a desk and in an entrance hall.
The legs splay slightly outward and are tied together with an H stretcher. On a backless stool the edge profile of the seat decides the comfort, so all four edges are sanded round.
It is easy to pick up and carry, and tucks under the table when not in use. The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version with a green fabric upholstered seat.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame and legs, a solid square seat and an H stretcher. In the upholstered version the seat is padded with high density foam and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
