Ziora's back is made of two flat bars crossing between the crest rail and the seat. The crossing is fixed at the centre with a brass rivet, which both stops the back from spreading and is the model's best known detail.
The bent arches under the seat brace the angle between leg and seat, and in profile they give the chair the familiar bistro silhouette. The legs curve gently outward as they descend.
It suits cafés, bars and kitchen islands. The photographs show the unfinished natural frame alongside the walnut stained version, with the crest rail and seat upholstered in petrol blue fabric.
Materials and fabric
Solid beech frame, crossed flat bars with a brass rivet, and bentwood arches. In the upholstered version the crest rail and seat are padded and covered in upholstery fabric.
Care
Wipe wooden surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Treat stains on fabric promptly and locally with a lightly dampened cloth. Keep the wood out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from radiators, and check the joint screws once a year.
